As we suggested in some previous posts and in the editorial of the latest newsletter (http://www.africanpoliticsandpolicy.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/APP_Newsletter_tenth_issue.pdf), political instability, either due to electoral forces or security concerns, represents the major obstacle for economic growth in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Similar concerns have recently been voiced in a World Bank report, that received some attention in the African media.
