In Abeokuta, the Ogun State, from April 19 to 22, will be held the Drums Festival, where the participants from 36 states will compete in drum beats, drum dances, performances, and the different types of drums will be exposed. As the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Muyiwa Oladipo notes the festival does not only promote Nigerian cultural heritage, but also unity, because the drum is a common factor that binds different Nigerian tribes and ethnic groups.
