In the ending on October 13, 8 people died of Ebola in DRC. As we noted in a previous post 71 people have died in the past few days because of terrorism, violence and political instability. In Nigeria alone violent attacks have killed 45 people. No disease has killed as many people in the past seven days. The implication is clear: diseases are a problem for Africa. Yet, violence, terrorism, political instability are a much greater problem that could slow down Africa’s progress along the developmental path.
Africa needs more stability, better governance and better leaders.
