Very soon, the list of UNESCO heritage sites will be enriched by the one of 7 wonders of Angola – Fenda da Tundavala, or the Tundaval Crack, located in 26 km from the city of Lubango. The documents were submitted in 2012, but only this week the special commission from UNESCO will visit Southern Huila Province. The Culture Department of the province hopes that the recognition of the Fenda da Tundavala will boost tourism and, thus, social and economic development of the region.
